  2. Enter the total number of active participants in the event (minimum 1).
  3. Input the number of completed objectives and failed objectives for the event.
  4. Add the average participation duration in minutes for all active members.
  5. Choose the event tier and whether hard mode was enabled to apply multipliers.
  6. Click the Calculate Score button to view your detailed score breakdown.
  7. Use the Reset Form button to clear all inputs and start over.

Formula and Logic

The calculator uses a tiered scoring system adjusted for different game types:

  • Base Score: Calculated using game-specific weights for completed objectives, participant count, and participation duration. MMO raids weight objectives highest, while competitive leagues prioritize participation time.
  • Penalty: 10 points deducted per failed objective, subtracted from the base score (score cannot go below 0 before multipliers).
  • Multipliers: Event tier (Bronze to Platinum) and hard mode status are multiplied together to get a total multiplier, applied to the adjusted pre-multiplier score.
  • Final Score: Rounded to two decimal places for accuracy.

Practical Notes

Keep these gaming-specific factors in mind when using the calculator:

  • Scoring weights for game types reflect common meta standards for MMOs, tabletop games, and competitive leagues, but can be adjusted by changing the game type selection.
  • Hard mode multipliers may vary between game patches—check your game’s current patch notes to confirm if the 1.3x multiplier is accurate.
  • RNG-based objectives (e.g., random loot drops) should not be counted as completed/failed objectives, as they do not reflect consistent guild performance.
  • For events with variable participation times, use the median participation duration instead of the average to avoid skewing the score.

Why This Tool Is Useful

Guild leaders and event organizers often struggle to standardize scoring across different event types and game modes. This tool eliminates manual calculation errors, applies consistent multipliers, and provides a transparent breakdown of how each factor contributes to the final score. It works for casual guild events, competitive league matches, and tabletop campaign sessions, making it a versatile tool for any gaming group tracking performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this for non-gaming events?

This calculator is specifically calibrated for gaming event metrics (objectives, participation duration, game-specific multipliers). For non-gaming events, use a general event scoring tool instead.

What if my game uses different multiplier values?

Select the closest matching tier or hard mode option, then manually adjust the final score by the difference between the tool’s multiplier and your game’s actual multiplier. We plan to add custom multiplier inputs in future updates.

How do I handle partial objective completion?

Only count fully completed objectives in the Objectives Completed field. Partial completion does not contribute to the base score, as most guild events only award points for full objective completion.

Additional Guidance

For the most accurate results, gather all event data before starting the calculation. Cross-reference multiplier values with your game’s official rules or recent patch notes, as multipliers are often adjusted for game balance. Save your score breakdowns using the Copy Results button to share with guild members or event organizers. If you encounter inconsistent scores, double-check that all input values are correct and that the right game type is selected.
